The Nationstar FOC-30XXM4 series triac optocouplers have a very slim package architecture of 4.4 mm × 4.1 mm × 2.0 mm and isolation withstand voltage of 3750 Vrms maximum. High-Drive Triac Optocoupler

The series combines a high-trigger-current optotriac output stage which can provide up to 100 mA gate drive current thereby permitting direct connection with power triac devices up to 10 A to 16 A load current. The design can be used in intelligent appliances, industrial automation, and DIN-rail intelligent switching equipment to provide high electrical isolation and power switching.

Microsecond Response Time

The FOC-30XXM4 series delivers a photo-response time of 10–40 μs. This allows accurate phase angle control and quick response to transient conditions, thus providing stable operation under dynamic load variations.

Robustness and EMI Immunity

It uses a high-density red copper lead frame to increase the level of corrosion resistance during saline and alkaline environments. The characteristic of the unidirectional optical signal transmission path is good immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and has long-term stability and system integrity in the electrical noise environment.

Long-term Reliability

The FOC-30xxm4 series based on mature functional die design and advanced packaging processes ensures stable electrical properties in ambient conditions up to 110 o C during operation, providing a long life of the product and reliability to both consumer and industrial electronic systems.
